I walk
Foot after foot
But something isn’t right.

I walk
But not on the earth.

I walk
Each step on top of sock
Each sock inside of shoe
A shoe that steps on concrete
The earth is hidden away below.

I walk
But my feet do not meet the ground
Instead I float above it
Dissociated
Disconnected

I walk
Yet where I walk the earth does not reach me

I walk
I walk in cotton clouds.
