I collect typewriters
Her father’s lies
Afraid of failure
Not playing nice
Being homeless
Not good enough
Just a dream
Like I’ve failed

Too fast too soon
To run away
For five months
Stop relying on me
Biological children
Without a nightlight
Then I get surprised
School is hard but
More hate than love
My secret is here
Because it’s safe

All I feel is oneness
The idea of you
During first year
I wear a mask everyday
I love staying home
I study psychology
It’s too satisfying
I call myself a feminist
I keep looking
