It’s almost as if the shades of amber engulfed the leaves in a matter of moments.
In time honey, bronze, and rust overtake the forest
I breathe in,
what a beauty so sublime.
The leaves once green with life break beneath me,
returning quickly to the ground.
To be so sweetly immersed in this music of sorts,
thoughts and reservations have all drowned.
The fall air welcomes me coolly into open arms,
the trees whistle a melodical song.
A short time between warmth and coldness, a calmness that won’t last very long.
So, I breathe it in deeply,
as much as I can possibly take in.
After the winter snow blankets everything in white,
it’ll be as if amber has never been.
